View all File Extensions and Hidden Files

By default, Windows 9x will not display hidden files or file extensions of known file types.   This can be annoying if you are looking for a file and Windows happens to be hiding it.

To view all files and extensions go to Windows Explorer.  Click on the View menu heading and select the Options sub heading.  Under the View tab select Show all files and uncheck  the 'Hide MS-DOS file extensions for file types that are registered' box.

Now all files and file extensions will be displayed.
